REPRODUCTIVE & PERINATAL SPECIALTIES
Infertility Counselling
Trying to grow your family—or deciding not to—can bring complex emotions. I offer therapy for individuals or couples navigating infertility, assisted reproduction (IVF/ICSI/IUI), and the emotional challenges of diverse family-building decisions. Often therapy focuses on strategies for stress and coping during fertility treatment, grief and loss related to reproductive health, navigating the impact on relationships and clarity in decision-making when family building doesn’t go as planned.
Pregnancy Complications & Birth Trauma Counselling
A difficult pregnancy or birth can leave lasting emotional wounds—not always healed by time. Birth trauma isn’t rare, but it is often misunderstood. If your experience left you feeling anxious, powerless, or alone, you’re not broken; you’re human. Using lived experience, EMDR, and trauma-informed care, I help clients process high-risk pregnancy stress, medical or obstetric violence, and perinatal PTSD so they can feel safe in their bodies and connected to the present.
Pregnancy Loss Counselling
Loss—whether through miscarriage, Termination for Medical Reasons (TFMR), stillbirth, or living child-free not by choice—can be life-altering and deeply isolating. Grief therapy offers a soft place to land: a space to honor your experience and process your emotions without the pressure to “move on.” Together, we’ll make space for meaning and the natural rhythms of healing.
Postpartum & Parenting Support
When parenting doesn’t go as planned—perhaps after loss, parenting a child with exceptionalities, or adjusting to postpartum life—you deserve a space to unpack the guilt, worry, and overwhelm. I help parents regulate their nervous systems and find compassion for themselves while supporting those facing postpartum depression, anxiety, or burnout with actionable strategies.
Intended Parents Implications Counselling & Donor Assessments
I provide thoughtful, non-judgmental implications counselling for intended parents and comprehensive known donor assessments.
Whether you are considering or pursuing donor conception, counselling offers a space to explore the emotional, relational, and identity-related aspects of family building through third-party reproduction. Common topics include disclosure to children, genetic grief and loss, boundaries, relationships with donors, and preparing for future conversations with children and extended family.
I also offer assessments for known donors. Together we focus on developing fully informed consent, exploring potential risks and barriers to donation, treatment expectations, disclosure, future roles, and healthy boundaries.
Implications counselling and donor assessments are a required step for fertility clinics, and a report will be generated for your clinic.
In addition, I support donor-conceived individuals and families throughout the lifespan. Common themes include questions of identity, belonging, disclosure, contact with donors or donor relatives, grief and loss, and the evolving relationships that may emerge through donor conception.
Whether you are just beginning to consider your options or navigating questions years later, you can get the specialized support you need.
PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT
Clinical Consultation
As a trained and experienced clinical consultant, I support therapists in developing their skills, self-awareness, and sustainable private practice foundations. My reflective consultation model helps clinicians integrate trauma-informed, feminist, and client-centered principles into their work. We explore direct client work, administrative aspects of therapy, ethical dilemmas, and the therapist's own well-being.
